Knowing when to publish is as important as publishing. Publish an incredible content at the wrong time, and you are missing a lot of traffic.

Therefore you need a set time to publish your blog post. According to KISSmetrics, a good day for publishing posts is Monday for traffic and Saturday comments.

A track maven study showed that "hours of rest" are best for and away from engagement. This means after 6 pm in most cases. One of the few exceptions will be weekends, where data shows that web surfers log into their favorite Internet-connected devices much earlier in the day.
  •  Saturday is the best post-publication day for engagement and comments.
  •  Monday, after 6 pm, when you should publish for maximum traffic.
  •  Any week after 6 pm will improve the level of engagement with your audience.
  •  Whatever time you are going to publish, and spend the time required to create your post before scheduling an auto-publication for the appropriate time.

You have published your post, so what do you do now?

If you just hit Publish and do nothing, you should not be in the blogging game at all. Here are 10 tips after hitting the publish button.
  1.  Tweet the headline only. If your title is worth its salt, it should create some interest and click-throughs.
  2.  Create a video version of your post and upload it to YouTube, Vimeo, and other video sharing sites. Keep your video under 1 minute, and make it a tentativeizing summary that links to your entire blog post.
  3.  Take highlights from your post and compile them into a PDF. Publish that PDF for free on PDF sharing sites.
  4.  Add an email to your autoresponder sequence, linking back to your blog post.
  5.  Turn your post into an infographic and share it on social sites.
  6.  Go social You may have already posted your new content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other major social sites. However, there are over 100 social media sites on the web, so why not share your posts with each of them?
  7.  Hit the question and answer sites. Quora, Yahoo Answers, and similar sites are full of people to solve problems. Watch out for those who ask the same questions as your post answers, and then link to your new content.
  8. Link to your old post. Internal links from your previously published pages and posts to your new posts are a free on-site traffic source, and Google has stated that it improves your chances for free organic traffic.
  9.  Connect with forums, chat rooms, and online communities in your niche. Link back to your new post.

Repeat Just don't publish your post on Facebook once and consider yourself. Less than 10% of your followers see any posts you've posted. This means that repetition on Facebook and other web assets is necessary to get the largest possible audience for your post.
